The spray type crystallizer changes the isolation water joint of the tubular crystallizer into spray water cooling, that is, the spray water sprayed from the nozzle is directly sprayed onto the copper mould tube of the crystallizer to realize cooling.

High cooling efficiency and remarkable water-saving effect. The spray mold has simple structure and low sealing requirements, which avoids the problems of non adjustable cooling intensity at the corner of copper mould tube, relatively weak cooling intensity, uneven temperature distribution and so on. Spray mold has been widely used in billet caster.

Theoretically, spray crystallizer can use general cooling water, but accidents caused by scaling and nozzle blockage in production practice affect the use of spray crystallizer.
