Copper Raw Material Classification

Copper is divided into four categories according to alloy series: red copper (pure copper), brass, bronze and cupronickel.

Red copper includes ordinary pure copper, oxygen-free copper, phosphorus deoxidized copper (Main material of Copper Mould Tube for CCM), silver copper and so on.

Brass refers to a copper alloy with zinc as the main additive element, and is divided into ordinary brass and complex brass. Complex brass includes lead brass, aluminum brass, tin brass, iron brass, silicon brass, manganese brass, and nickel brass.

Bronze refers to copper alloys with elements other than zinc and nickel as the main additional elements, including tin brass, beryllium bronze, aluminum bronze, silicon brass, magnesium bronze, titanium bronze, chromium bronze, zirconium bronze, and cadmium bronze.

Cupronickel refers to copper alloys with nickel as the main additive element, including common cupronickel, iron cupronickel, zinc cupronickel, aluminum cupronickel, etc. 720 million tons, of which Chile is the country with the largest copper reserves (210 million tons), Chile, Australia, China, Russia, and Indonesia.
