Steps of replacing copper tube of mold:

1. Loosen the bolts between the lubrication plate, the upper sealing flange and the shell.

2. Remove the roof and lubrication plate (do not damage the inner O-ring).

3 Rotate the maintenance stand 90-180°, loosen the bolt between the bottom plate (or the lower sealing flange) and the shell.  Remove the copper pipe and key board from the water jacket;  Move the keyboard to the left and right sides;  Slowly remove the copper pipe.

4. Clean the joint parts related to the copper tube of the crystallizer to remove oil, scale and other sundries.

Factors affecting the service life of mold copper tube:

1. Quality problem of mold itself

1) Influence of copper tube design parameters.  Mold copper tube design parameters mainly refer to the material, coating, inner cavity curve, fillet radius and so on, which directly determine the service life of copper tube.

2) Mold maintenance.  The maintenance quality of mold is also the main reason affecting its service life.  The key process of repairing the quality is the adjustment of water joints. If there is uneven water joints around the copper pipe, it will directly lead to uneven cooling of the copper pipe and deformation damage.

2. Influence of process conditions and operation

1) Mold lubrication.

2) Influence of steel pulling times.  The number of times of steel pulling, direct copper tube cold and hot expansion, resulting in copper tube stress, yield and permanent deformation, and affect the service life of copper tube.
