The solidification behavior of steel water in crystallizer has significant influence on surface quality and normal production of casting. Therefore, the following requirements for crystallizer:
(1) In order to rapidly solidify the steel water, the crystallization device wall shall have good thermal conductivity and water cooling conditions.
(2) In order to bond the solidified primary shell to the inner wall of the crystallizer with little friction, the crystallizer shall be upward and downward reciprocated with lubricant during pouring.
(3) To shape the billet to avoid the drawing due to the deformation of the crystallizer, the crystallization shall be enough rigid.
(4) The structure of the crystallizer should be simple and light in weight.
